From June 9-12, 2014, The University of Waterloo will play host to the Communities of Integration Conference. This is the second annual meeting designed to facilitate communication and conversation among researcher groups, academics and students interested in science and society interface. The gathering will coincide with regular meetings for several of these communities, as well as offer synthesis workshops to enhance the conversation between these projects.
Communities of Integration 2014 is the second such conference. The conference originated from STIR and CNS-ASU. The inaugural conference was held in 2013 in Tempe, Arizona. Information about this conference, STIR, and CNS-ASU is available here.
Before you attend, we ask that you take a moment to review this site's content to familiarize yourself with the objectives and participants of the workshop. We also encourage you to post comments in response to the core questions and in response to the existing content you see here.
To add a "community of integration" to the current list of examples, please send us a comment describing the form, means and ends of that approach. Don't hesitate to get in touch with Katie Plaisance (Centre for Knowledge Integration, University of Waterloo) if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you in June!
